Operator licencing can be complicated and confusing to new and existing operators. We can help support you in making new applications, Submitting variations and communicating with licencing to ensure a smooth and accurate application process is undertaken to minimise delays and reduce multiple requests for supporting documentation or supporting evidence. 

We are ex coach operators and licence holders as well as experienced consultants who understand the needs of the coach and bus industry. We can effectively support you in all aspects of operator licencing and your overall operational compliance needs to ensure disruption is minimised but compliance is effectively regained with ease and kept simple. 

It's important to understand the role of a consultant as they can be just as effective as a transport solicitor in multiple aspects of your operators licence and overall compliance and are much more cost effective. 

Its a legal requirement that we train our staff and driving team to ensure they are up to date with current day legislation, Defects, Drivers hours and tachographs as well as ensure they are fully trained in all aspects of driver compliance. 

It's also very important that line managers, Transport managers and licence holders are adequately trained and keep up to date with their CPD requirements once every 5 years as a bare minimum. We provide training for all areas of your operation and tailor the training to your individual needs on site or remotely. 

Tachographs and drivers hours can be hard to understand and interpret and we have some fantastic systems in place to make this really easy and save you a lot of time from potentially getting it wrong. We can also support you in understanding the information you are presented with as well as guide you through what your obligations as an operator are and get you back on track. 

Non compliance can lead to action being taken by the DVSA and or Traffic Commissioners which can include formal warnings, Curtailments and even "Revocation" of your operators licence. It's important that you get the right help and support to guide you through this process to avoid disruption to your business and operations. We can help deal with the aftermath of a DVSA investigation or negative interaction to ensure you regain compliance swiftly but more importantly understand what has been found and what can be done to remedy the situation and avoid a potential public inquiry. 

Auditing is one of the most important things you should consider as an operator as it allows you to detect and address non compliance or shortcomings before anyone else does and before you are visited by boots on the ground or stopped at the roadside.  It's amazing what difference an audit can make and if done annually by a competent person or body then you should always be one step ahead of the game and remain compliant. It's also a great way to show proactivity and demonstrate compliance. 

Public inquiries can be scary and damaging to your operation so it's best to ensure you get the right support in the lead up to or post public inquiry. We can work alongside transport solicitors or alone depending on the nature and severity of the situation to ensure the process is as smooth as possible and sometimes even avoided.
